On Saturday, August 27th, Huntingdon’s The Little Green Library will host an art exhibition featuring pastels by Judith Stockwell Taylor and Céline Lemieux.

Both artists are longtime students of Elgin resident Pat Walsh, a well-known arts teacher and exhibiting artist that teaches at the Visual Arts Centre in Westmount, as well as at the Huntingdon Adult Education and Community Centre (HAECC).

Céline Lemieux worked as an elementary school teacher for the Commission Scolaire des Grandes Seigneuries until her retirement 12 years ago, while Judith Taylor previously worked for The Gleaner, and as an Adult Education Coordinator for the Chateauguay Valley Regional School Board until retiring in 2003.

The vernissage will be held on Saturday, August 27th from 2:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. Open to all, the library is located at 4 Lorne street in Huntingdon. The Little Green Library hosts exhibitions regularly in order to shine light on local artists—a collective effort of the library’s Cultural Committee, which focuses mainly on the library’s artwork.
