Les Fermes Valens Moved!

Les Fermes Valens’ Huntingdon store has moved to a new location at 62 York Street (just down one block east, and on the opposite side of the street, from the old location).
What began as a small business under Boucherie Valens in 2006, is now Les Fermes Valens, which is a corporation of farms and producers serving up Quebec organic, naturally farmed and produced goods.
Douglas Mccolm, Markus Ritter and Archie Blankers are the owners of Les Fermes Valens. What started out in 2008 as a three employee enterprise, now employs 22 people and continues to grow. “We used to deliver two days a week with one van, and are now delivering four days a week using two vans,” recalled a member of the Valens’ team.
Les Fermes Valens are well known for their natural sausages and deli meats. They also provide organic and natural beef, pork, veal, lamb, chicken as well as free-range and organic chicken eggs, cold pressed organic oils, honey and many other products. They are currently in the process of expanding their line of local, artisanal products.
While you can now find their goods in commercial outlets such as IGA, Metro, Provigo and a variety of natural and/or organic stores, customer service is of the outmost importance to the Valens’ team. Their motto is: “If you’re looking for something, ask us, and we will try to find and get it to you.” Valens offers a home delivery service and all products can also be found at the new and improved Huntingdon location.
Expect an invite to the grand opening in late summer or early fall. Visit their web site http://www.fermesvalens.com/ for all other information.
