Quillorama Huntingdon is a popular choice for locals looking for an evening of wholesome fun.

Opening its doors in September 1997, Quillorama Huntingdon represents one of the few long-standing activity centers available to Huntingdon residents. Currently in its 18th year, the bowling alley will be hosting Chateauguay Valley’s Knockdown Cancer event this month, working in collaboration with local non-profit The Betty Riel Foundation, which works alongside driving service S.A.B.E.C. to provide transportation for local cancer patients. Throughout the month of January, Quillorama Huntingdon will set aside the weekends for the fundraiser, with bowling kicking off at 1:00 P.M. A countrywide event, the Knockdown Cancer effort has raised $327,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society since its inception four years ago.

With a particular focus in customer service, Quillorama Huntingdon (which also offers dry cleaning and video rental services) specializes in events, particularly birthday parties. The center is known for its specialty birthday packages, designed to make the most of the big day, featuring tours, moonlight bowling and music. The center is also popular with several charities and organizations throughout the Chateauguay Valley, including local non-profit Melissa’s Sunshine Camp, which uses the bowling alley on a weekly basis. Quillorama Huntingdon also offers promotions to bowlers, depending on the evening (current perks include promo bowling balls and supper specials).

Managed by Ontario native Marc Allaire, the center provides an entertainment outlet for the community that is both wholesome and fun—for members of any age. Allaire is no stranger to the bowling world either—he is the president of the Quebec branch of the Tenpin Bowling Proprietors Association (TBPA). “My passion for bowling has been present for most of my life”, he said when asked about his involvement at Quillorama Huntingdon.
