An annual tradition that started over 50 years ago at the Brysonville school house, the Georgetown Halloween party is an event that the young and old alike look forward to. Another successful spooky celebration took place on Saturday, October 29th in the company of a lively group of princesses, superheroes and the walking-wounded.
Since 2013, the event has been held at the Georgetown Presbyterian Church (the schoolhouse was destroyed by a fire in 2012). This year, the venue remained the same, with prizes awarded to those in costume. A number of Howick area charities donated to the event, making for a wonderful evening. Organizers would like to give a heartfelt thanks to the judges, musicians and all who helped.
