15 to 25 centimeters of snow are expected

Environment Canada published a snowfall warning in effect for the region, Wednesday.

An extended period of snow with total accumulations of 15 to 25 centimeters is expected. The snow will gain intensity over the next few hours.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions, says Environment Canada. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

Here are the areas affect in Montérégie by the snowfall warning: Hemmingford, Huntingdon, Saint-Rémi, Soulanges, Valleyfield – Beauharnois and Vaudreuil.
