The severe weather conditions in the area are currently impeding mail delivery, says Canada Post.

"While every effort is being made to deliver the mail, some customers may not receive mail today, announces Canada Post on Twitter, Tuesday morning. Should conditions continue to deteriorate, mail delivery will be interrupted."

Canada Post says the normal delivery will resume once the conditions improve. This mail delivery alert is in effect for the Suroît, Bas-Richelieu, Haut-Richelieu and Estrie regions of Quebec.

Canada Post also cancelled the mail delivery for the greater Montreal region, Tuesday. «In light of the severe weather conditions in the greater Montreal region, it is not safe to send our delivery agents to deliver mail today. Delivery will resume once conditions improve and it is safe to do so", reports Canada Post.
